Also, I have added a project for Office Depot which features a robust micro-site and mobile-optimized site. See below

Personal Work, 2009

2009 marked a return to my roots. I chose this career in design because of my love for art and specifically, drawing. I couldn’t imagine doing anything my whole life unless I loved it, but didn’t want to be a starving artist either. So, the logical choice was to become a designer — I get to do what I love, and eat too!

Below I’ve posted a few works I did as gifts in 2009. It was a relief to get back to my foundation in drawing and to blend my hand-drawing skills with my digital techniques has opened up some new avenues for me. I look forward to what this blend of traditional and modern will bring in 2010!

Former Employer, Upshot, Citing My Work on Their New Website.

On Upshot’s new and improved company website they show my work for BidMillerLite.com/Cowboys as the first example of their strong interactive work: Upshot’s Interactive Work.

Thanks for the props!

You can see all of my work for the Dallas Cowboys and Miller Lite here.

New Video Section!

See the link at the top right of the blog? That’s right, I’ve got videos posted.

Rather than pay to embed them directly on my blog I’m making you follow the links to YouTube, hope you don’t mind too much.

Sneaker Candy on “So You Think You Can Dance”!!!

The “Sneaker Candy” Tee design for Worldwhere was worn by one of the most talented choreographers on “So You Think You Can Dance”: Tabitha of NappyTabs!!!!! She owns her own clothing line but wanted to feature this design on the show.

Huge thanks to NappyTabs.

See the Clip! — Look for the green tee, you can’t miss it!

This is the second time my design work has been featured on a television show.

Infusion Jar Co-Pack Design in Stores Now!!!

BACARDI Flavored Rums continues to run with ideas developed under my direction.

Though it has been nearly two and a half years since I have worked on the Flavored Rums my influence can still be felt on the brands. A version of my infusion jar design (original design shown on my Packaging page) is just now hitting shelves for the holiday season. While this is not exactly what I have posted in this blog, you can see the influences of my design on the final product. This final product is, in-fact, another design of mine altered for the new bottles. It feels good to know my concepts are getting to the consumer, even if it is long after I presented them.

I can only hope that this design wins another award like the original!

New Awards!

I’m not a huge fan of tooting my own horn, but somebody’s got to do it: TOOT TOOT!

I received some more praise for my work, this time as a Creative Director for Tuaca! In addition to my two 2nd place mentions for signage, one of my logo designs in featured on their Body Art Ball Evolution materials.

This is the second time in three years that Beverage Dynamics has recognized my work for excellence in the spirits industry!

See them listed at the bottom of my About page!

Photography Section Now Up and Running!

So much work to go through, so little time!

Check the Photography link at the top of the page for new samples of photography I have either Art Directed or Photographed and Retouched myself. As of now I only have a few projects posted, but don’t you worry your pretty ‘lil head, more will be posted soon.

New Section, New Samples!

As promised, I have new projects available in the Point-of-Purchase/Point-of-Sale section of my portfolio! As of now, this includes two years of BACARDI Flavored Rums, a year from Tequila Cazadores and one very large program from Miller-Lite and The Dallas Cowboys.

I am also happy to announce I have a Hispanic-Focused portion of the blog. No, my blog is not in Spanish, I don’t speak it. But these promotional campaigns were developed for the growing Spanish-Speaking and Mexican population in the United States: http://dubbsdesign.wordpress.com/hispanic-marketing/
